History: Stone Wall Mountain is rich in history. Billions of years old, Stone Wall Mountain rests along the northern rim of the Boston Mountain, part of the Ozark Mountain Region. The ancient Ozark Mountains, not unlike the Grand Canyon, were caused by erosion, not Tectonic Plate upheaval. Stone Wall Mountain was part of a territory that was populated by various tribes of Native Americans over thousands of years. This mountain was settled in the 1700s by Native American Qua-paw Indians. The name of our state, “Arkansas”, was labeled by Lewis and Clark when their Indian Guides identified the tribe by mispronouncing “Qua-paw”. To Lewis and Clark it sounded more like “Ar-Kan-Saw”. In the 1800s some Native American Cherokee Indians, forced westward from Tennessee, settled in this area, and on Stone Wall Mountain. They were driven from the area by the mid 1800s. Around 1856 Confederate Soldiers encamped atop Stone Wall Mountain and erected a still existing rubble stone wall encompassing the entire mountain rim. In the late 1800s the U.S. Government sold land tracts to settlers, including our 62 acres. As far as we can track, one of the first families to settle on this mountain were Irish immigrants who homesteaded through tough times, and who helped add to our mountain walls. On Stone Wall Mountain, the remains of an old root cellar, a hand dug stone-lined well, along with the rubble stone wall, still remain as a testament of the tenacity of many Americans on this beautiful land. The 150 year old rubble stone wall which rings our entire mountain top inspired our naming the mountain “Stone Wall Mountain”. We have a real log cabin situated in a beautiful wooded holler at the convergence of two creeks. The historic ES&NA railroad runs right through the front yard. Secluded and scenic yet right outside of city limits and a mile from all the shopping, festivals and nightlife of historic downtown Eureka Springs. Our cabin is fully remodeled and decorated with a fun retro feel. There is a large fully equipped kitchen with new appliances and coffee bar. On the first floor there is the main bathroom and living room which has a movie library, high quality Bluetooth speaker and pull out couch. The game room is stocked with board games, regulation dartboard, Foosball table, and an adjacent extra sleeping area with two twin bunks. The main floor also hosts the master bedroom which has a queen bed and private bath. There are two other queen beds on either end of the large loft. The train can be seen riding by from the bar in the game room or from the living room windows. The outside of the cabin is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and has a fire-pit and grilling area. Our cabin sleeps up to 10 people and is great for entertaining groups, family getaways or a romantic trip. There is a 20$ fee per person for additional adults over 4 people. Kids stay free and we have a portable crib available(let us know but do not mark your kids in the guest count). Pets are welcome at our cabin with a small nonrefundable pet deposit. Discounted rates are available for extended stays. We live and work in the Eureka Springs area and are happy to be available to you during your stay. Secluded and scenic yet right outside of city limits and a mile from all the shopping, festivals and nightlife of historic downtown Eureka Springs. Close to all the lake area fun, such as fishing, boating and swimming. The cabin is only 15 minutes to Table Rock Lake and 25 minutes to Beaver lake/White River area. It's less then 20 minutes to all of the epic mountain biking and hiking trails our area has to offer. It is just a few minutes drive to anywhere in Eureka. There is a trolley service that goes all over town and there is a stop with lots of parking less then a mile from the the cabin at the train depot. It is only a 10$ taxi ride anywhere in town. There is a large trash bin and a recycling bin for plastic, glass and aluminum behind the house. There are extra paper towels under the right side of the coffee bar and extra toilet paper under the bathroom sink. Checkout suggestions : take out trash and recycling , put dirty towels in bathtub, clean dirty dishes. If you have changed the temp please set it back to 72 auto fan cool. We have a real log cabin situated in a beautiful wooded holler at the convergence of two creeks. The historic ES&NA railroad runs right through the front yard, and provides excursion and dinner trips. Secluded and scenic yet right outside of city limits and a mile from all the shopping, festivals and nightlife of historic downtown Eureka Springs. Close to all the lake area fun, such as fishing, boating and swimming. The cabin is only 15 minutes to Table Rock Lake and 25 minutes to Beaver lake/White River area. It's less then 20 minutes to all of the epic mountain biking and hiking trails our area has to offer. Our cabin is fully remodeled and decorated with a fun retro feel. There is a large fully equipped kitchen with new appliances and coffee bar. On the first floor there is the main bathroom and living room which has a movie library, high quality Bluetooth speaker and pull out couch. The game room is stocked with board games, regulation dartboard, Foosball table, and an adjacent extra sleeping area with two twin bunks. The main floor also hosts the master bedroom which has a queen bed and private bath. There are two other queen beds on either end of the large loft. The train can be seen riding by from the bar in the game room or from the living room windows. The outside of the cabin is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and has a fire-pit and grilling area. Our cabin sleeps up to 10 people and is great for entertaining groups, family getaways or a romantic trip. There is a 20$ fee per person for additional adults over 4 people. The Cozy cabin name says it all, it’s a cozy cabin for two. This one bedroom cabin has a full kitchen, wood fireplace, bedroom with a new King size log bed, bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub and the back porch is screened. The Cozy is by the main entrance right off of Highway 62 and has a nice wooded view. We just purchased the cabins and are adding updates as we go, we just added new flat screens, new appliances, leather sofa sleeper, a King size bed and blinds in this lovely cabin.

They can take you nearly any point you want to go in-town. There is also no shortage of parking on-site and we can accommodate larger truck/trailer travelers by having you park in our driveway which is a short 90 yard walk from the house. Eureka taxi will take you anywhere you want to go within city limits for just $5.00! We also now have UBER and LYFT in our town! There is no TV or Wifi on the property but your phone Wifi hotspot should work no problem. We apologize if this is a deal breaker but it helps us keep costs down as well! You can enjoy your morning coffee while sitting on the back deck, looking into the woods, or while sitting on the front porch on the swing.

This is a beautiful 2br/2ba vacation home. The downstairs bedroom has a queen sized bed while the upstairs bedroom has a double. I believe the cabin is most comfortable for a maximum of 4 adults and two children. Since children tend to be able to sleep just about anywhere, they can use a blow up mattress, sleeping bag or pallet. The master bath downstairs has a jacuzzi air jet tub with a separate stand-up shower. The upstairs bathroom has a shower. The house has both a front and back porch with lots of privacy. We provide all towels and linens and general kitchen cookware, plates, glasses, cups, and utensils. The driveway is spacious and paved and relatively level. This allows motorcycles a great place to safely park. There is also plenty of room for a trailer. This vacation home is literally on the 'Trailhead'. Mountain bikers and hikers have private access to the trail system out the front door of the house. This trail connects to the Lake Leatherwood trail system as well as leading to Downtown. A portion of this trail system is used during the Fat Tire Festival, held each July. Please contact us if there is any change in the number of guests that will be staying at the property. It is very important for us to know the number of guests in case of an emergency or natural disaster. Neither floor space, nor furniture may be used as additional sleeping areas. Exceeding the number of guests stated on the reservation or allowing the entry of an unauthorized pet into the property will be quickly addressed and require immediate compliance with the Rental Agreement.
